Bingo Games – 75 Bingo Ball & 90 Bing Ball
Originating in UK and more popularly known there as Housie, bingo soon caught on in USA too. But as the popularity of the original game grew, players wanting to add more spice to it added several variations to the game. A few seemed futile and died away soon while others stuck on and carved a place for themselves. The end result being that several bingo variations came into being. Of these the two most popular ones are the traditional 90 ball bingo game which was played in the UK and the 75 ball bingo game which has become famous in the last few years especially in the American continent.
The 90 ball bingo game the player has three chances to win the jackpot. The card (or ticket) has three rows and nine columns. Of the total 27 squares only 15 have numbers in them while the others lie blank. The very first column has numbers ranging from 1 to 10 while the second one has numbers from 11 to 20 and so on till the 9th column which is reserved for numbers from 81 to 90. This makes it very easy for people playing the bingo game to locate the number that begin announced.
The three chances of winning that the 90 game ball of bingo offers the players are quite simple. If five numbers are crossed off on any one line the player wins the line prize. If 10 numbers are crossed off then the prize for two lines is won by the player and if all the numbers are crossed off then the full house the jackpot would be won.
In the 75 ball game, the players have only one chance to win. This is a much shorter game as compared to the 90 ball bingo game and so does help in the adrenalin rush. The ticket of the 75 ball bingo game has only 5 columns and 5 rows. Of these 25 squares the center one is free while all others have numbers in them. The ticket has the letters B I N G O printed on top and a set of numbers are assigned for each letter. So while the B column will have numbers 1 to 15, I will have 16 to 30, N will have 31 to 45, G will have 46 to 60 and O will have 61 to 75.
As mentioned earlier there is only one change of wining in a 75 ball bingo game. A set pattern is provided before the game begins and must be marked on the playing ticket. Once the numbers of this pre decided pattern have been marked off the game is over. Needless to say the one to do so first will win the house jackpot.
While there are differences in the two styles of playing bingo, fans for both the variations are many. Be it the 90 ball bingo or the 75 ball bingo, both games have their own USP and are parallel in popularity.
